exasperation could be worse

OK, never being of a mind to actually do anything particularly defined and forthright is one thing, but being buggered around from breakfast to bedtime does grate on the nerves somewhat. What am I blithering on about? Work, that's what. First they say hey want us to standby till daylight (I'm good at that, I thought, I will follow that one to he letter. Next thing, I'm being chivvied (and I don't take to chivviers very well, enthusers and motivators I can deal with, but chivviers just rankle).
Someone in their wisdom has decided to ignore the agreed procedure (which involved waiting till daylight before proceeding) and start testing conditions and situational suitability for work (can you believe it?).
Needless to say it all came to a grinding halt when the old man stepped in and called an all stop, but not before I had been chivvied, which paints a mood on the rest of your day.
So, waiting for the weather to improve STILL.

Goings on

Well, despite the weather, we have managed to achieve....... er, nothing. Because of the weather we are unable to even peek over the side with the mighty 150HP machine, that is poised ready for action (with newly painted hand rails and stuff, a result of much days weather watch).
Running out of things to do and desperately wishing we could get the yellow bricks wet, we have resorted to cleaning out the workshop and making things look really swish (Lord help the rest of the crew when we have naught else to do but contrive practical jokes).
All the oil has been cleaned and labelled, the decks are now non slipped and the old rusty handrails are in a state of repair not seen since the system was commissioned. what more can we do (no doubt someone has plans that require our efforts but as to what where and how we are, blissfully, ignorant. (A state that suits us, in any case).

Four score years intense

You may have gathered by now that I don't always post in compliance with my titles, indeed why should I? I am in fact writing this to no-one in particular, and in reality no-one reads it but me, so I suppose it could be construed as the public face of my inner thoughts, (obviously highly edited in case someone does read it, due to my upbringing, I'm not one to air all my laundry in th public domain).
I'm busy doing nish again and we (that is the boat I am currently onboard) are diligently running from another storm that is forcing us to speed west from the work site, I have caught up with all my correspondence and faceooked all that care to be online at the ungodly hour that I am spewing this out at.
Why does the spillchoker underline the word "online" surely by now this is an accepted word (I'm struggling with American English, an oxymoron if ever I came across one).
So back to counting spare parts for my supper I suppose, although I can't understand why we (Mr Shane ) & myself seem to be the only ones doing it (as there are 10 others that could contribute), oh yes I know, we are the only ones stupid enough to.

Oh we're rolling along........

As, by the title, you could have guessed, I am back on the good ship dodgy sausage and bravely running away from a typhoon, not just any typhoon either, it has a name (which at present escapes me) but it has left its calling card in the Philippines and swept through the place we were trying to work.
Currently we are speeding back to where we were and attempting to start work again although there is a huge chance that we will be on the run from the first typhoon's younger brother in 2  days time.

Great eh?

Of smoked ribs & duck

Well it was a long day without water or power and I was housebound due to both utilities shutting off promptly as I put the meat on the grill. Bugger
